Ceramics 1: Molded Symbolic Bowls and Midterm Review

Students’ will:

ART.VA.II.HS.2 Create artwork using materials and techniques with skill so that personal intentions are carried out.
1.  Use paint (Acrylic or Tempera) to carry out designs on ceramic bowls that will SYMBOLIZE the person that you wanted to represent a meal with.  Additional class time should be dedicated to finishing any left over projects and the last 3 sketch book assignments.  Sketchbook assignments final turn in day will be this Fri.

ART.VA.V.HS.4 Identify commonalities, differences, and connections between the art disciplines

2.  We will take some time from class today to review General Ceramics Terms.  As a collection of previously discussed techniques and terminology will all be on Semester Mid-Term.

 

Painting 1: Looping .GIF Animation and Midterm Review

Students’ will:

ART.VA.II.HS.2 Create artwork using materials and techniques with skill so that personal intentions are carried out.

1.  Continue layering paint on your acetate cels and prepare to take your series of photos that will be edited together as a looping .GIF.  We will review a number of apps that you can download for FREE.  Typically the apps all work the same way, however some features can be missing or slightly different, so if you have questions about how an app works….ASK DURING THE DEMONSTRATION.

ART.VA.V.HS.4 Identify commonalities, differences, and connections between the art disciplines

2.  We will take some time from class today to review Elements and Principles of Art.  As a collection of previously discussed techniques and terminology will all be on Semester Mid-Term.
