  • Demonstrate your understanding of balancing out the thickness of your clay by TRIMMING and/or SMOOTHING out all imperfections before your project is ready to be dried out.

I’d like you to also think about how you used the materials for your last project, and work today’s goals around fixing those issues.

As a body / concentration of works, why is what you are making interesting, worthwhile, intriguing?  What can you do to stretch your abilities in the work you are making? Are you too comfortable or do you feel you are pushing yourself? Why?

As you work throughout the hour today, I’d like you to think about a plan that will lead you up until completion.  When would you be complete with this if say you took it home for homework?  How about if you worked on it during studio time?  What are the differences between these two set-ups?
