Ceramics 2: Test Tiles and Relief Stamps

 1. DEMONSTRATE your ability to describe the significance of KEY GLAZING terms by explaining their definition.

2.  DEMONSTRATE your knowledge for proper glazing techniques by listing the steps needed to properly glaze your project.

Well, I’m not sure it a huge surprise, but I was able to get in a little early today, and long story short, we are able to get another firing done today.  This means that you most likely will be complete with this project ahead of the deadline.  Right?!

Before you fill out your goal(s) for today, try to think about where you were at before you walked in this morning.  What does this new information allow you to do today?  Is there any “speed bumps” that might come up, or with an additional firing, do you see an early completion date in your future?

Intro to Art: WK 2 Sketchbook-Garfield

  1. DEMONSTRATE your understanding for the procedures of the weekly sketchbook by completing a themed/timed sketch.
  2. SUMMARIZE your opinions of their themed sketch by writing a 4-step critique

Painting 2:  Watercolor Experiment Grid

    1. APPLY your watercolor skills by creating a series of experimental techniques using their prior knowledge of how watercolors work.
    2. ORALLY  ask any questions about the project demonstration they may have using complete sentences

We set up our grid and color wheel layout yesterday so that we could focus the next few days on actually experimenting with this new material.  I’ve attached a video that demonstrates a few of the techniques that are our chart.  You may want to give a look as you painting this afternoon to compare some of the techniques.

Adv. Drawing: Sketchbook #1 Concept Character

    1. DEMONSTRATE your understanding for the procedures of the weekly sketchbook by completing a themed/timed sketch.
    2. DISCUSS the steps or process need to create an original character
