Goals for the Day: Mon. Oct. 26 #pappasgone

Intro to Art: Line Shapes Exercise

  1. Engage in making a work of art or design without having a preconceived plan.
  2. Through experimentation, practice, and persistence, demonstrate acquisition of skills and knowledge in a chosen art form.

Some of what we will be working on today will be brand new to a few.  Considering that I am out of the building today, you don’t have someone leading a class demonstration for you as you move into new material.  Work through the guided worksheets today, as it will be something that we return to tomorrow!

Reflection/Evaluation:  Not knowing exactly what an art work is “supposed” to look like can be a bit of a pain.  Describe how working through this PROCESS made you feel and whether or not this played out on the OUTCOME of your final work.

Painting 1: 3 Apples Challenge

  1. Experiment, plan, and make multiple works of art and design that explore a personally meaningful theme, idea, or concept.
  2. Respond to the CHALLENGE REQUIREMENTS by identifying areas that you struggle with before you start a painting.
  • Take your artwork out – DON’T look at it. Step back. WRITE OUT THE FIRST THINGS THAT COME TO MIND. Use the first 10 minutes to do a small bit of SELF REFLECTION and PEER REFLECTION. Talk – Write – Reflect –

Last day to work through your paintings.  Be sure you are keeping up on the PROJECT REQUIREMENTS and your progress within those specifics.

Ceramics 1: Dia de los Muertos Skulls and Remembrance Bowls

  1. Be able to respond to the PROJECT REQUIREMENTS, by prioritizing their daily tasks through filling out a DAILY GOAL FORM.
  2. Experiment, plan, and make multiple works of art and design that explore a personally meaningful theme, idea, or concept.

Reflection / Evaluation: What CHALLENGES did you face today? How did you go about SOLVING that challenge
