Goals for the Day: Tues. Dec. 1 #NewCardMarking #1stSemesterOver

Intro to Art: 1 Pt. Perspective Challenge

  • Through experimentation, practice, and persistence, demonstrate acquisition of skills and knowledge in a chosen art form.
  • Take a look at your previous week’s works – where did you struggle the most with the idea of the PERSPECTIVE? Where did you succeed the most?

Call it a quiz, call it a project, call it whatever you’d like.  The purpose of today’s challenge is to finally wrap up our studies with 1 Pt. Perspective, so we can move on to more advanced drawing styles.  Since the start of “unit” I’ve always wanted to provide you with the choice of how you prove your ability to understand a topic.  Be sure to select the CHALLENGE based on your level of understanding, but also your ability level.

Painting 1: Peace Exchange (studio day 8/9)

  • Evaluate, select, and apply methods or processes appropriate to display artwork in a specific place.
  • What was your FAVORITE or LEAST FAVORITE part of working with clay. Please tell me WHY you LOVE or DON’T LOVE using this material. Please be specific.

Reflection / Evaluation: What do you see as needing to be RESOLVED for the end of the project TOMORROW? Know that it is the LAST day to work. PAUSE 10 minutes before the end of class.

Ceramics 1: Cylindrical Mug

  • Through experimentation, practice, and persistence, demonstrate acquisition of skills and knowledge in a chosen art form.
  • Take a look at your previous week’s works – where did you struggle the most with the idea of the cube? Where did you succeed the most?

Reflection / Evaluation: What was the most challenging part for you to create 3-D that you LEARNED the most from? Why was this most difficult way to go and how do you see the LEARNING? What is most important about creating a plan when it comes to working three dimensionally?
