Thurs. April 28 #FinalStudioDay

Intro to Art: Animation Challenge (Final Studio Day)

  • Apply subjects, symbols, and ideas in their portraits and use the skills gained to solve problems by carrying out the choices made in their ACTION PLAN.
  • Describe the origins of specific images and ideas and explain why they are of value in their artwork and in the work of others by answering the REFLECTION/EVALUATION question:

Reflection Question:  Out of all the information that was presented today, which requirements do you feel will be the easiest for you to carry out in acrylic paint for your upcoming project?  Which requirements do you feel will be the toughest to follow through with.

2 Studio days left for completion…What does that mean and what issues or areas of concern are you running into?

1.  You will need to have at least 2 KEYFRAMES and 3 INBETWEEN frames in your animation

2. The animation needs to be a LOOP.

3.  The character you choose will need to interact somehow with your BACKGROUND to your looping animation.

4.  The animation has been recorded, and presented DIGITALLY and your cels + background are turned in.

There are always a few reasons why your animation will look a bit strange but here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Take the best quality photos (no glare, blur, or unnecessary things distracting the viewers eye)
  • Did you shoot your cels in the correct order?
  • Did you DUPLICATE or REPEAT the necessary cels?
  • Think about the speed of your playback (too fast vs too slow)
