Intro to Art: Reflection Tessellation (Midterm Project Overview)
- SWBAT properly follow demonstrated steps to create a “ROTATION” tessellation using the information gained in class.
- SW orally ask any questions about the project demonstration they may have using complete sentences.
Over the next few days, we will be reviewing some key components of this class, the projects that have been assigned, and what this all has to do with the MIDTERM PROJECT. Be sure to check in daily to for updates as the class moves from talking about PATTERNS and MOTIFS to TESSELLATION STYLES.
Final Project Guidelines and Requirements
Drawing: Midterm Drawing Portfolio
- STWBAT conceive and create works of visual art that demonstrate an understanding of how the communication of their ideas relates to the media, techniques, and processes they use by working on a series of watercolor thumbnails that visual detail the appearance(s) of their final painting.
- SW initiate, define and solve challenging visual arts problems independently using intellectual skills such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation by writing a response to their mid-term proposal.
Here we go…Over the course of the next 9 days, you will be “re-working” your very first drawing that you did in this course back in Septemeber. The goal for this final drawing of the semester is to be able to take the skills you’ve learned and apply them to a drawing that you’re familiar with intentions of improving the finished drawing.
Be sure to be aware of this drawing’s requirements, which on the service may seem vague, but do have some very specific concepts behind them. Your past drawings should be pick up and used as “measuring stick” as to the skills and abilities you need to show.
