Painting 1 : Artist Statements
Before you start in on your exam, you will be given time to fulfill the last requirement of your midterm project:
4. Each painting upon completion, will need to have a TYPED explanation which defends and explains the artist’s choices in response to the class theme.
Having already practiced this requirement in past paintings, this requirement may be the most important of all as it explains to not only me, but the viewers what your intentions were when you started making painting decisions.
You will have the ability to defend your work, by referring to concepts and information that have/has been presented in class. In other words, by using TERMINOLOGY correctly, you will be able to prove the level of success in the painting, as well as your level of success in the course.
